Sulphur Grove Quilt Shop was established July of 2005. The area in which the shop is located (Taylorsville Road and Brandt Pike in Huber Heights, Ohio) is rich with heritage.
"Sulphur Grove Village" was established in 1810 in Wayne Township as part of Montgomery County. The first settlement was Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church, which still stands today.
The quilt shop, built in the 1950's, was originally a diner which served meals to men working on the construction of Interstate 70.
As you enter the shop you will likely be greeted by our 10 year old resident cat, Lenny.
Lenny suffered a head injury in a car accident several years ago and is now deaf.
No need to feel sorry for him as he weighs in at 25 pounds and is "fat and happy!" He is very friendly and loves attention.
You might also notice him in the shop's TV commercial on PBS
during the Saturday morning sewing shows.
